Free Alyssa Bray

Alyssa Bray is a 27 year old Native survivor from the Colville Reservation.  Alyssa has been incarcerated since April 2024 and faces a life sentence for defending herself against a white man who attacked her outside of Spokane, Washington.

In the evening of April 9, 2024, Alyssa was walking along the road when she was picked up by Gerald Fox, a violent repeat sex offender. After accepting a ride, she refused his advances, which he ignored.  He pulled over and walked around to the passenger side where Alyssa was, exposing himself.  Alyssa panicked, fearing for her safety.  Locking the door, she took control of the vehicle, struck Fox, and fled for home.

The Campaign to Free Alyssa Bray is a coalition of Alyssa's family from the Colville Confederated Tribes and Spokane Tribe; and other advocates.
